Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly ready to sell Moussa Sissoko if the right offer arrives in the summer.

That’s according to The Daily Star, as relayed by Ricky Sacks, who claim Tottenham could raise roughly £70m from a huge clear out that Spurs boss Jose Mourinho could reinvest back into the transfer market.

Where did Mauricio Pochettino complete his playing career?

Mourinho is considering streamlining his squad to fund a summer spending spree, and Sissoko could find himself at the top of the shortlist, as he is considered surplus to requirements.

The Lilywhites look set to cash in on players like Serge Aurier and Danny Rose, while Juan Foyth may be on his way out the door, and the Frenchman could follow suit.

Daniel Levy will listen to bids in the region of £18m, despite the fact the 30-year-old has turned over a new leaf in north London.

The Spurs chairman bought the 62-cap French international from Newcastle United for £30m in 2016, pipping Everton to the post late on deadline day.

Although he struggled for consistency during his first couple of seasons, he has turned things around ever since, undergoing a transformation from an unreliable midfielder into an undroppable first team regular.

Sissoko signed a new three-year deal with the option of a one year extension until 2023, but he could find his chances limited, with former Southampton captain Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg set to become Mourinho’s first summer recruit in a matter of days.

The Frenchman has ably taken on the mantle of midfield enforcer, after he scored two goals and supplied one assist in the Premier League last term, made 1.3 tackles and averaged 1.2 clearances on average per game (via WhoScored).

However, Spurs may be tempted to cut their losses, as he isn’t getting any younger. While Sissoko has received a fair amount of stick for his inconsistent performances, he has been a loyal servant for the club, but could leave for pastures new in the summer.

Tottenham fans, do you think Levy should sell Sissoko? Let us know down below!
