Marko Grujić

The Serbia international is widely dubbed as Liverpool’s next star by the punters here in the Tavern, and under Klopp’s supervision, this ambition could materialise into purposeful progression.

The 21-year-old only made eight appearances for the Reds last year, yet he’s considered one of Liverpool’s most promising prospects.

Liverpool’s destructive midfielder testified his status as a key player for Red Star – the club that he was brought from – scoring six goals and registering seven assists as the club won the side won the SuperLiga.

He’s even been capped three times by Serbia which further demonstrates the potential that he flaunts.

Grujić is renowned for his tall and imposing appearance, yet despite this he is very composed and measured in possession, flaunting an impressive range of passing.

The need for a player to dictate proceedings at the heart of midfield has been lacking in recent Liverpool teams, and if the Serbian is given sufficient playing time, he could prove to be Klopp’s last piece of the jigsaw.

Ben Woodburn

Woodburn’s ascent into first-team involvement was a terrific story for all young talents contracted to Premier League clubs.

In total, the 17-year-old made nine appearances for Liverpool scoring his first goal against Leeds United in the EFL Cup.

He became Liverpool’s youngest ever goalscorer at the age 17 and 45 days old and looks poised to improve his development this season.

The Reds’ forward also scored eight goals in the Premier League Two and was rewarded with his first international call-up in Wales’ game against the Republic of Ireland.

Having been awarded Liverpool’s academy player of the season, the future is unequivocally bright for the teenager who could provide Klopp with great strength in attacking positions – he can operate as a striker or an attacking midfielder.

Given the right opportunities, Woodburn’s Liverpool career will continue to develop rapidly, and one day he could become one of the club’s most important talents.
