Leeds United have dropped off the pace recently as they continue to miss out on valuable points in the race for promotion to the Premier League.
The Whites were completely dominant towards the start of the current campaign as they immediately took pole position, but things haven’t exactly gone to plan recently. Although, one of Leeds’ star men is receiving international recognition, as according to Teamtalk, Kalvin Phillips has been earmarked for a possible England call-up.
Indeed, it’s thought that Phillips is one of the Championship players that England boss Gareth Southgate has earmarked as a possible candidate for his senior squad.
Interestingly, the 22-year-old has been watched by a dozen Premier League clubs, with Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur also checking on the midfielder.
But, Everton are believed to be winning the race for the promising central midfielder.

Kalvin Phillips has been one of the standout performers in the Championship so far this season, with a move to the Premier League and an international call-up being just rewards for his efforts.
However, Leeds United will be desperate to hold onto him this season as he will play a crucial part in their push for an automatic promotion place under Marcelo Bielsa.
