The Burnley fans in the Transfer Tavern are on cloud nine after an impressive victory away at Goodison Park.

The Clarets travelled to Everton in high spirits after a positive season so far and hoped to capitalise on a Toffees side who are low on confidence, especially after drawing against ten man Apollon Limassol in midweek.

Burnley turned in a solid defensive display and won the game with a single goal from Jeff Hendrick, who capped off a fine passing move from the away side.

Burnley’s victory heaped even more pressure on Ronald Koeman, who has endured a miserable start to this campaign.

But going into the international break, Burnley are flying high.

These three points have lifted them to seventh, at least until Newcastle United and Liverpool lock horns in the late kick-off.
