Kenny Dalglish’s Pre Match Press Conference [video]

Liverpool face a stiff but not impossible task tonight as they face Queens Park Rangers at Lotfus Road. Mark Hughes has got to be regretting taking over at QPR. The Londoners are facing a nasty relegation scrap which they have no guaranteed right of winning and his career surely couldn’t withstand another dead end?

By some stark contrast, Liverpool sit seventh in the Barclays Premier League and could potentially secure a European place. Here’s Kenny Dalglish’s pre match comments…

“It’s encouraging for everybody,” Dalglish stated to The Guardian.

“It might be bad news for other Premier League teams but it is encouraging for us. We’ve been delighted with him since he has been here.

“Luis has made a contribution every time he has stepped out on to the football pitch. He scores goals and creates goals. It’s great news that he is happy.

“But we don’t need to go through the full resume of his season, we are delighted with his statement and the content of it,” the Scot confessed.

With the Fenway Sports Group backed Reds expected to spend again in the summer, Dalglish admitted that specific targets had not been identified as yet.

“We have not got a clear picture in our mind of what we want. The players here have done fantastically well and if anyone is going to come in they will have to be a hell of a player to do better than what they have done.

“We have not had any discussions about funds. Someone else is in a position to discuss that with the owners and then they will come back and say there’s the budget,” he concluded.

Well now, when it comes to football, one man has for many years been the most noticeable, the most controversial, and occasionally the most successful blogger this country has ever produced. His pithy words and abrasive style make him as famous off the pitch as he is on it. This man is Escapini. "I love football. Football she's a cruel mistress. She's, she's more than a mistress. She's a wife, she's a mother, she's a daughter, she's an errant child. She's a… she's a… she can make you laugh, she make you cry. She can bring tears me eyes. She can bring blood to me shoulders. She can bring a kettle to the boil." "Cause football is about nothing, unless it's about something and what it is about, is football."
