ESPN reported back in August that a bid had been snubbed for the American international, though Dortmund are understood to have big plans for the 17-year-old.
It is said the Bundesliga juggernauts are prepared to offer the talented teen a huge contract in order to ward off interest.
He arrived in Germany during Klopp’s stint in charge of Borussia and has since emerged as one of the most exciting talents playing in Europe.
