This has given the hero of Amsterdam, Lucas Moura, the chance to make even more of a name for himself as the north London club look to finish in the top four. And against today’s opponents Wolves, he has the perfect opportunity to get the ball rolling.
It was against Nuno Espirito Santo’s side where the 27-year-old put in one of his stronger performances this season, stepping up on a day where Kane and Son failed to find the back of the net. It was Lucas who opened the scoring as Spurs went on to win the game 2-1, finishing the December tie with a WhoScored rating of 8.5 — the highest in the team.
Indeed, the Brazilian really carried his team’s attack, making four key passes, completing both of his dribbles and winning all four of his aerial duels despite his lack of height, something that former Manchester United midfielder Owen Hargreaves has actually spoken about recently.
With Kane and Son missing, though, Tottenham need a repeat of that dominant attacking display from their Brazil international, who must now carry the attacking mantle alongside the likes of Dele Alli and Steven Bergwijn.
