Ledley King Fully Deserves Coaching Role

The announcement was made yesterday by THFC that Tottenham Hotspur Club Captain Ledley King is considering his future options as his existing contract runs out this summer.

King said:

The club has been fantastic in supporting me and giving me several options to stay involved with Tottenham …if I can’t play here then I shall look to be involved in some other capacity.

This certainly indicates that Spurs are treating with respect a player that has been an incredible asset to them since 1996. His very first goal for Spurs was in December 2000 in a 3–3 draw away to Bradford City which was scored in just 9.7 seconds, setting a new record for the Bremiership quickest goal.

King has been an outstanding footballer for Spurs and in an era where footballer’s reputations are at an all time low, King has always conducted himself in a manner and has been a credit to his club , country and his family.

In recent times it was clear he was playing on despite a degenerative knee condition and it is his vast experience that Tottenham should seize upon now. King would make a great coach. His positional awareness, understanding and character as a player would place him perfectly as a man able pass on these attributes to the next generation.

Football would only benefit from Ledley’s continued involvement. King’s career has in many way embodied what playing for Spurs is all about.

Well now, when it comes to football, one man has for many years been the most noticeable, the most controversial, and occasionally the most successful blogger this country has ever produced. His pithy words and abrasive style make him as famous off the pitch as he is on it. This man is Escapini. "I love football. Football she's a cruel mistress. She's, she's more than a mistress. She's a wife, she's a mother, she's a daughter, she's an errant child. She's a… she's a… she can make you laugh, she make you cry. She can bring tears me eyes. She can bring blood to me shoulders. She can bring a kettle to the boil." "Cause football is about nothing, unless it's about something and what it is about, is football."
