A lot of Leeds fans are far from surprised, yet angry nonetheless, to find out that Tim Krul has avoided punishment from the FA after his alleged headbutt on Patrick Bamford after the full-time whistle on Saturday. The Yorkshire Evening Post ran the story telling of the Dutchman’s avoidance of a ban, and the fans aren’t happy.

The Whites are a sensitive bunch and they feel that they’re unfairly picked on by both the FA and EFL, with opponents getting away with bans and sanctions for things that they would get a slap across the wrist for. However, in this case, their claims that Krul deserves a ban are unheralded. The ex-Newcastle ‘keeper was involved in an incident with Bamford after the game, but to say a headbutt was thrown is wildly exaggerated.
Leeds fans were all caught up in the heat of the moment when Bamford was confronted by Krul, and with emotions flaring after the Canaries walked away from Elland Road with three goals and three points the situation was escalated. However, it looks like the correct decision was come to by those investigating the matter, even if the Whites have been furiously typing away on Twitter claiming that the EFL and the FA are corrupt.

The Whites hate the fact that Krul got away with his clash with Bamford and feel that if it had been one of their players then a ban would have been nailed on.
