While the news that Marcelo Bielsa was going to stay at Leeds United was a major boost following the disappointment of the play-offs, a transfer-related worry has recently emerged.
Roofe to Glasgow Rangers definitely has legs. #lufc
— Adam Pope (@apopey) July 7, 2019
According to BBC reporter Adam Pope, the Whites could potentially wave goodbye to Kemar Roofe as the journalist claims that a move for the Elland Road ace to Rangers in Scotland ‘definitely has legs’. Indeed, claims in regards to a potential deal have also emerged from the Scottish Sun and Football Insider.
The 26-year-old Walsall-born attacker recorded his best goalscoring season in a Leeds United shirt last season, bagging 15 goals for the Whites in all competitions, with 14 of those coming in the Championship as he helped his side to a 3rd place finish.
Still, the player does only have one year left on his current deal (per Transfermarkt) and is thought to have been identified by Rangers director of football Mark Allen as a potential replacement for Alfredo Morelos if the Gers sell the Colombian.
