According to an interview with Sky Italia journalist Gianluca Di Marzio via the Yorkshire Evening Post, Leeds United owner Andrea Radrizzani has revealed that the club had ‘tentative‘ interest in AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic – with supporters reacting to the news with mixed reviews.
Ibrahimovic, who is by all accounts a legendary European striker having netted a grand total of 460 career goals to date whilst assisting 179 others (Transfermarkt), currently plies his trade at AC Milan – playing a bit-part role with just eight season appearances so far.
Indeed, when announcing his winter departure from MLS side LA Galaxy, Radrizzani has revealed that he considered swooping for the Swede – with the 38-year-old later opting to re-sign at the San Siro on a six-month deal.
Reacting to the revelation, many Leeds supporters have been in full discussion – with one fan hinting that he would ‘rather not upset Bielsa‘ whilst another claimed that the Whites ‘don’t need egos‘.

No thanks. We don’t need egos like that in the team.

Love the idea that Radz spike to Zlatan which shows his ambition and has not ruled out speaking to him again if we get promotion. I do wonder though what Bielsa would do with a 39 year old who obviously wouldnt be chasing back as much. Ibra will score goals everywhere he goes but

With Zlatan it’s self before side. Every time. He wouldn’t run a tap for his teammates, let alone run his socks off for 90 minutes.
