Leeds United: Fans laud Thierry Henry as greatest opposition player ever at Elland Road

Responding to a Twitter post, plenty of Leeds United fans have selected Arsenal legend Thierry Henry as the most dangerous opposition player to ever perform at Elland Road – feeling he was ‘guaranteed‘ to score ‘every game‘.

Henry, who scored 228 goals and assisted 90 others over 375 appearances for Arsenal (Transfermarkt), appeared to have a penchant for terrorising Leeds United if these supporters’ reactions are anything to go by. The Frenchman became one of the most prolific strikers in Premier League history and his record against the Whites was impressive, to say the least.

The ex-Barcelona striker, over a total of 13 outings against the Yorkshire side, managed to score 12 goals and assist two others in all competitions – showing that these fans have made a good point about him being such a thorn.

Here’s how supporters lauded the ‘class‘ and ‘unreal‘ performances from Henry on Twitter.

John Barnes murdered us in the first half of the 4-5 loss to Liverpool & Thierry Henry murdered us every time he played! #lufc
