Ezgjan Alioski is one of the players who has adapted to the league well and it seems like he will be rewarded with a new contract.
His performances have seen him receive a lot of praise, and former footballer Kevin Phillips is one person appreciating the player.
What Phillips said about the Leeds ace
“He is a player who can unlock the door and he has a brilliant work rate.
“When he comes off the bench he can change the game and if you start with him he might be able to produce a bit of magic. Either way he does not moan and every squad needs a player like that.
“He is a player that they would like to keep. Leeds will want to get him on a new contract.”
Looking into Alioski’s career at Leeds
The 28 year-old midfielder has played 138 times for the club (Transfermarkt) and has scored 20 goals as well as assisting another 16. He is also very versatile as he has played in the defence as well as in midfield.
Two of his four appearances have been from the bench, but he has managed on average one shot per game (SofaScore).
His current deal is due to expire at the end of the season and the club need to keep their squad depth in case any players get injured or suspended.
He also has experience on the international stage with North Macedonia, as he has featured 33 times, scoring five goals (Transfermarkt).
With the praise he receives and the dedication he has put in for the club, there is no doubt that he deserves a deal and hopefully it will get sorted sooner rather than later.
