‘Legend’ - Liverpool fans on Twitter can’t get enough of star’s comments

A number of Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern have been made to eat their words on Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain this season. The winger-turned-midfielder was criticised when he first joined the Reds and many believed he wouldn’t live up to his heavy price tag. They couldn’t have been more wrong though and now they’ve been showering him in praise after he claimed it’s not hard to enjoy your football at Liverpool whilst in an interview for the club’s website.

Chamberlain finished last season, and started this one, as one of Arsenal’s best players considering his form. It now seems that the versatile Liverpool man has turned their form into class as he’s consistently showed the Kopites propping our bar up what he’s capable of. In his first season since swapping The Emirates for Anfield he’s reached a Champions League semi-final and sits third in the Premier League, whilst his former club are in the Europa League and sixth.

The 24-year-old has been a revelation on Merseyside and is undroppable at present. Not only has he proved his many doubters wrong, he’s also given Gareth Southgate no choice but to include him in the England squad travelling to Russia in a few months time. Whilst Chamberlain will be excited to be participating in his second World Cup, despite not playing a single minute in Brazil four years ago, he’ll have his sights set on finishing the season strong under Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool. The club is still fighting for the Champions League and will be looking to rival Manchester United for a 2nd place Premier League finish.
