Let down: These 2 Celtic players have been awful this season

Celtic fans here in the Tavern are delighted with how their side has performed this season, as they remain on course for the treble with a number of games still left to play.

Interestingly, the Hoops have managed to dominate the Scottish Premiership without breaking a sweat, as bitter rivals Rangers have struggled with consistency in recent times. Although, there has been some low points for Celtic as they were sent crashing out of the Champions League, with many of our local residents wanting to see their side improve in Europe next season.

Sadly, a couple of the club’s first-team members haven’t lived up to expectations in the current campaign, as a summer transfer window exit could be in the offing. So, Brendan Rodgers will be keeping a close eye on his players from here on in until the end of the season, as the Hoops can’t afford to drop off the pace with a chance to secure the treble.

Nevertheless, here’s a look at TWO Celtic players that have been awful this season…

Charly Musonda

Charly Musonda has struggled to come to terms with Scottish Premiership football since joining on loan in January, as he continues to stagnate behind the scenes at Celtic Park.

Indeed, many of our local residents were expecting the Belgian to play a big part in the second half of their campaign, but he’s offered very little in his limited opportunities in the side.

Therefore, Musonda has been one of the worst players at the club so far this season, as he currently finds himself down the pecking order with his Celtic future in tatters.

Cristian Gamboa

The 28-year-old has only managed to feature in three games so far this season as he continues to struggle, with many of our local residents wanting to see the back of him in the summer transfer window.

Sadly, Cristian Gamboa has completely lost his way in the side and hasn’t made an appearance since February, with the arrival of Jack Hendry in January pushing him even further down the pecking order.

Therefore, Celtic should look to offload the defender in the summer transfer window, as he’s failed to make an impact in the current campaign and doesn’t look like improving anytime soon.
