Harry Redknapp’s refusal to sell key players in the recent transfer window with backing from Chairman Daniel Levy is the main obstacle for another emerging transfer saga.
Key to last season’s early success as Spurs mesmerised opposition defence with the pace of Gareth Bale and the gile of the veteran Van der Vaart, notably their success in the champions league where the Dutch playmakers form was essential component in memorable victories over some of Europeans largest teams.

It would take a bid in the region of £15million to prize Van der Vaart away from White Hart Lane who have been adamant on holding on to their key players, however a below par return in the league by January could leave the former HSV and Madrid player unhappy and pave the way for a lucrative transfer to the Italian Champions.
