News has made it’s way to the bar here at the Football Transfer Tavern as one of our Twitter-mad bar staff has, for once, looked up from their phone to break news to a group of Liverpool fans that a deal concerning one of their defenders is all but done.
Turkish giants, Fenerbahce have announced that Reds defender, Martin Skrtel, has passed his medical ahead of a move, expected to be announced this week.
The club tweeted pictures of the Slovakian international completing his medical alongside Ismail Koybasi, who also underwent tests today.

The 31-year-old who made 319 appearances for the Reds since joining from Zenit St. Petersburg in 2008.
According to the Mirror, the renowned hard-man will make the move to Turkey for a fee of £5.5m after seeing his stock amongst the club fall since the arrival of German manager, Jurgen Klopp.
