Many Liverpool fans have been reacting to comments made by former Reds defender Dejan Lovren, in light of their recent slump.
The 31-year-old was sold by Jurgen Klopp last summer to Russian giants Zenit St Petersburg after a six-year stay at Anfield, finishing on an all-time high by winning the Premier League.

Before Liverpool’s 1-0 defeat to Burnley on Thursday night, Lovren told Zenit’s official website that he made the decision to leave Liverpool because he wasn’t playing, but went on to say that the club misses him more than Lovren misses his former side.
Lovren scored eight goals and provided five assists from 185 appearances (TransferMarkt), and often divided opinion with some of his performances.

On the back of serious knee injuries from Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez, supporters mourned his absence and said they would bring him back to Liverpool, making their feelings clear after @TheAnfieldTalk shared the comments on Twitter.
Fans rue Lovren loss
“Wish you were with us really”
“Can’t even be mad because he’s spot on…”
“Can’t even be mad because he’s speaking facts”
“He’s not wrong”
“Yes Dejan, we miss you come back”
“He wasn’t. Adrian is awful. Alberto Moreno was awful. Origi is awful. Lovren was a good CB for us and actually delivered a lot of times for us. By the end of his time with us, he became reckless and a bit too emotional which led to mistakes, but he was always quality.”
