Liverpool: Fans applaud Harvey Elliott’s goal for Blackburn Rovers

Plenty of Liverpool fans have been congratulating youngster Harvey Elliott after he got on the scoresheet for Blackburn Rovers.

The Lancashire club cruised past Coventry City 4-0 at St Andrew’s as the 17-year-old impressed during his second appearance for Rovers.

Elliott earned himself a match rating of 9.12 and also provided an assist during the 90 minutes, as well as winning two aerial duels, making six key passes and achieving a pass success rate of 83.3% (Whoscored).

Jurgen Klopp is a big fan of Elliott and previously described him as a “special player” after bringing him to the club as a 16-year-old from Fulham last summer. During his time at Anfield so far, the teenager has provided one assist from nine outings for the first team and looks set to add to those tallies further down the line.

Understandably, many Reds supporters flocked to Blackburn’s official Twitter account to show their appreciation towards Elliott as his neat footwork and clinical finishing got him off the mark in the Championship.
