Liverpool: Fans buzzing after performance from Curtis Jones

Many Liverpool fans have jumped on Twitter to express their delight in Curtis Jones’ performance after he picked up the Man of the Match award after their win over MK Dons in the EFL Cup.

Liverpool defeated MK Dons in a comfortable 2-0 win away from home in the third round of the EFL Cup to set up a last-16 tie against Arsenal.

A young side was put out by Jurgen Klopp, however, the team had enough about them to get past League One’s MK Dons. James Milner grabbed a goal and an assist, though the performance from Jones was still enough to take that award from him.

According to Sky Sports, the 18-year-old had 77 touches, completed 54 out of 60 passes, had four shots and four dribbles – not bad for a local lad playing in his second senior appearance for the club.

The Liverpool fans loved to see one of their own blossoming in the first team. Born in 2001 in Liverpool, it seems that he has the potential to go on and be a real fan-favourite, if the responses below are anything to go by…
