This summer has been a huge one for Liverpool. The fans have been treated to four new faces and some fans are convinced that they could be getting one more through the door, however, for now, it’s just four and the fans can’t wait to see all of them in action. One of the new signings, though, Xherdan Shaqiri, has piqued the interest of a lot of Kopites.

During his Stoke days, Shaqiri was accused of being lazy, inconsistent and happy to let games flash by him without putting in the effort. However, Liverpool fans are arguing that the same was said of Sadio Mane before he became a Jurgen Klopp player and the supporters will be expecting similar things of Shaqiri now he’s been given the opportunity to turn out at Anfield for the German gaffer.
Of the four new men at Anfield, you would have thought that Naby Keita, Alisson Becker or Fabinho would be the ones that the fans can’t wait to see, given the money taken to bring them in and the reputation that they’ve come to Merseyside with. That’s not been the case, though, as the 26-year-old Swiss winger from Stoke has been the source of so much excitement amongst the fans leading up to their opener against West Ham on Sunday.
