Jurgen Klopp is assembling a scary team at Anfield. The likes of Mo Salah, Naby Keita, Virgil van Dijk and Alisson Becker are some of the best players in their positions in the world. However, there is one Yorkshireman who seems to go under the radar. James Milner has got the 2nd most assists of any player currently playing in the Premier League and the fans think he deserves more credit.
Premier League assists
James Milner – 79
David Silva – 75
Paul Scholes – 55
Mesut Ozil – 50

James Milner’s move from Manchester City to Liverpool back in 2015 is being made to look like a better piece of business every time the 32-year-old takes to the pitch. The former Leeds and Newcastle man has been irreplaceable at Anfield. He’s filled in at left-back, all across the midfield and hasn’t complained once. Milner’s also picked up 61 England caps for his work and he is the embodiment of side over self.
Last season saw the incredible midfielder break a record for the most assists registered by a single player in a single Champions League campaign when he laid on eight goals for teammates, breaking the previous record of seven that was held by both Wayne Rooney and Neymar. Even on Sunday, the 32-year-old continued in the same vein of form, laying on an assist in the 4-0 win over West Ham as he started the season exactly the way he’ll want to continue it.

Not to mention he's not too shy of putting the ball in the back of the net himself. Malc
