As it stands, Gini Wijnaldum’s future at Liverpool is an uncertain one amid ongoing speculation over a new contract.
The Dutchman has also been linked to a move to Barcelona, which could see him follow fellow midfielder Adam Lallana out the door this transfer window.

James Pearce has shed some light on the current situation, following Jurgen Klopp’s recent press conference.
“I’ve had 500 to 600 talks with Gini since he’s been here,” the manager said “It’s always like this.”
Wijnaldum’s current contract is now into its final 12 months and he could leave the club as a free agent next year unless new terms are agreed. But Ronald Koeman is said to be keen to be reunited with his former player after coaching him for the Netherlands national team.
Klopp’s comments have stirred up a lot of discussion amongst the Anfield faithful. Many are speculating over whether this could mean he is a difficult player to negotiate with.
