Liverpool: Fans drool over Harvey Elliott’s stunning goal for U23s

Liverpool fans have been drooling over youngster Harvey Elliott’s goal against Wolves in the Premier League International Cup during the 2-2 draw at Molineux.

The 16-year-old illustrated just what a hot prospect he is after scoring a sensational overhead bicycle kick to bring the tie level after the young Reds were 2-0 down. Joe Hardy also scored as both players look set to feature in the FA Cup fourth-round replay against Shrewsbury Town. U23s Boss Neil Critchley told the Anfield Edition website (via the Daily Mail) that it was an unbelievable goal and he was not certain how he managed to pull it off.

With Jurgen Klopp and the first-team players taking their promised winter break, Critchley will take charge of the domestic cup tie with his team set to step in the shoes of their senior teammates, with fans hoping to see more goals from Elliott of a similar nature. One fan said that the Shrews should beware, while another described the finish as “unreal”.
