Many Liverpool fans have been hailing Ibrahima Konate as Christian Falk has revealed that the RB Leipzig star is a transfer target for the January window.
As per the Sport BILD journalist, the France U21 international is alongside his teammate in Dayot Upamecano on the list Jurgen Klopp’s team are reportedly targeting to replace the injured Virgil Van Dijk and Joe Gomez.

Several members of the Anfield faithful seem to want Konate over his centre-back partner, with one Red even claiming that the former is ‘better than Upamecano’.
In some key areas for a central defender, this is true, with Konate averaging more interceptions and clearances than his teammate so far in the 2020/21 Bundesliga term (Whoscored).
Konate also wins a mammoth five duels a game in the German top flight, and could well be the dominant centre-half that the Kop has been crying out for following the injuries in that position.
