Many Liverpool fans have been left to laud a transfer update as Diario Madridista have reported their interest in signing Raphael Varane from Real Madrid.

Varane could be the ideal long-term partner to Virgil Van Dijk, and the France international has performed very well so far in La Liga in the 2020/21 term, helping Zinedine Zidane’s team on the way to no fewer than 11 clean sheets while also averaging 3.7 clearances and 1.3 interceptions a game (Sofascore).
It would be a statement signing by Jurgen Klopp’s men, but whether they would be able to get the deal over the line is another question.
Liverpool fan reaction to Varane update
These Reds supporters lauded the transfer update on Twitter, with one Kopite even going as far to say that the 27-year-old would be a ‘perfect’ signing:
“WOW! VVD and Varane would be a cheat code. Still prefer Matip over anyone but he just can’t stay fit”
