Liverpool fans have enjoyed some cracking transfer business as of late. The signings that Jurgen Klopp has made may have cost FSG a pretty penny, but they’ve worked out. This summer we’re likely to see more cash being splashed, and if David Maddock’s claims over Hakim Ziyech’s release clause are true then the fans will be dying to swoop for him.
Amazing talent, and interesting note: Lyon had lined Ziyech up as Nabil Fekir's direct replacement last summer, until the French international's deal with #LFC collapsed at the last second. Ziyech has £25m buy out clause in contract that can be activated this summer. https://t.co/Ab7DkzKZxR

The Merseyside footballing expert has claimed that Ziyech was the man who Lyon were planning to sign as a replacement for Nabil Fekir, who you will all know almost signed for Liverpool last summer. He has also claimed Ziyech has a release clause of just £25 million. Considering what the playmaker has shown he can do that money is peanuts, and his obvious talents would fit in perfectly at Anfield.
The fans would all have wanted him at Anfield before the talk of his low release clause, but with the news that they’d have to part with approximately 70% of the fee that it took to bring in Andy Carroll back in January 2011, it’s a no brainer. The only problem will be that Ziyech will surely have the pick of pretty much every top club given his performances, and the Kopites will just hope he picks Anfield.
You can read the Reds’ verdict on the Ziyech news here:
If Ziyech has a £25m buyout we should be all over that, even as a squad man. Brandt, Ziyech and Fekir for combined £75m

£25m a bargain, #LFC should be all over him…

It’ll be a calamitous mistake to pass this chance up. We should be all over that.

The Reds want nothing more than to go in for Ziyech, and at a cut price of £25 million it looks like the Ajax man will certainly be out of the Eredivisie this summer.
