Liverpool fans on Twitter have all been hit with one key stat after their game against West Ham and it revolves around the supposed poor form of Alisson Becker. Since the turn of the year, the Brazilian has conceded from seven of the 11 shots on target he’s faced, yet the Reds are refusing to blame the ex-Roma man for that stat.
Don’t think he should have saved many of them to be fair, but conceding goals from every shot we faced was always a Mignolet issue https://t.co/HVf1PHozsm

Liverpool used to have a major issue with conceding from pretty much every shot on target when they had to rely on either Simon Mignolet or Loris Karius, however, Alisson was the answer to that at first. His save percentage up until Christmas was one of the best in Europe, however, the chances are he’s fallen down the list now, even if the Reds do have plenty of excuses for him to fall back on.
The defensive issues that Jurgen Klopp has had will surely be a factor. Klopp has had to deputise with James Milner, Jordan Henderson and Fabinho all chanced at right-back, he’s also had his best defender in Virgil van Dijk playing through illness and Andrew Robertson’s form has dipped. Given those three factors, the Kopites aren’t too keen on people blaming Alisson for their recent dip in form, and will hope the Brazilian can prove his doubters wrong in the coming weeks.
You can read the Kopites’ defence of Alisson here:
Can only safe so many. Defence needs to step up. And that’s the difference. He was behind a wall before Xmas. We got some injuries and now he has more shots coming at him.

People forget the point blank save against Leicester at 1-1 brave and quick.
The fella is class. He isn't one of the ones coasting, that's for sure. A few others lack conviction.

The problem isn't Alisson – it's our defence that's leaking like sieve.

Alisson is most definitely NOT the scapegoat here.
Upon reflection (and I was livid about the Leicester and Hammers results) we've just hit a blip like all teams do and we've not even lost. Injuries are to blame and anyone who thinks they've not clearly need to re-assess.— RED9 🇾🇪🇯🇴✌️ (@red9uk) February 5, 2019
Get a grip! The issue is we have an unsettled make shift defence not ideal at the moment but we will be ok support us or do one across the park stop dragging our club down enjoy the ride!

The Reds are desperate to get back on track after successive 1-1 draws and will hope Alisson can prove that the issues they’re having are not down to them.
