You can forgive the Reds for forgetting about Simon Mignolet somewhat. The Belgian shot-stopper has been limited to just one game this season since the arrival of Alisson Becker from Roma back in the summer. However, his recent comments have shown just how humble and professional the ex-Sunderland man is.

Whilst talking in an interview for the Liverpool website, the Belgian claimed that Alisson is ‘really special’, something that we all know at this point as the Brazilian continues to shine on Merseyside. These comments from Mignolet come ahead of Liverpool’s 3rd round FA Cup tie against Wolves tomorrow night, a game in which Jurgen Klopp is expected to be throwing Mignolet in for.
The last game which the 30-year-old shot-stopper started saw the Reds bow out of the Carabao Cup 2-1 at home to Chelsea. However, there were many changes for that game and they were against a tough Blues side that utilised Eden Hazard. This time around things should be different, and with Klopp having already registered a win over Wolves at Molineux this season, another trip to the West Midlands the fans will be confident, even with Mignolet in the net.
