The last few months have been hell on earth for Loris Karius. The German shot-stopper has cost his team the Champions League final, made a ridiculous number of mistakes in pre-season, been ridiculed by his own fans and has now seen his boss go out and sign a new goalkeeper.
On Karius being upset at being kept in the dark over the Alisson signing, Klopp said: “Listen, I didn’t walk through the dressing room and tell the midfielders that I was signing Fabinho or Naby Keïta."

Karius was reportedly very annoyed at the fact he was kept in the dark over the signing of Alisson Becker this summer, but as Jurgen Klopp has rightly pointed out, he didn’t go around the dressing room telling his midfielders that Fabinho and Naby Keita would be joining. It’s getting to the point where Karius is hard to defend as a Liverpool fan and with his future now up in the air, the fans would happily see him depart.
Last season was a farce for Liverpool fans. Whilst at times their man between the sticks showed some competence, the ability to throw the ball into his own net has always been there and now it looks like he will be rightfully deprived of time out on the pitch. The 25-year-old will likely never get to the level that Alisson is already at and that doesn’t bode well for his future. He’ll be lucky to be in goal for the domestic cups this season and a lot of Liverpool fans aren’t bothered in the slightest by this.

Is it ironic that he’s moaning and when he did play 17 year old keeper played better vrs united and we won 4-1 ?

Wow – nobody rates Karius higher than…….himself. I bet he is a nightmare to try and help as he thinks he’s the complete keeper. He complete alright!!

As you can see, the fans are all loving their manager for his dealing of the situation and there’s not a lot of sympathy for Karius here.
