Liverpool fans have heaped praise on defender Virgil van Dijk after his performance during the 2-0 win against Sheffield United on Thursday.
The 28-year-old has helped transform Liverpool since his £75m move from Southampton in January 2018, where he has been a key part in helping Liverpool reach back-to-back Champions League finals, including winning the trophy in Madrid.
The Holland international was also part of the squad that won the Super Cup in Istanbul and the Club World Cup in Doha.
Manager Jurgen Klopp is such a big fan of the Dutchman’s, that he previously said that he could “write a book” on all of the skills that he possesses.
Van Dijk kept a clean sheet for the fifth consecutive Premier League and it is easy to see why fans were so complimentary about his showing.
He made five clearances, only lost one of his duels (including ariel) and had a pass success rate of 95%, with a staggering 134 passes attempted, according to SofaScore.
