During last night’s Champions League clash between Napoli and Liverpool, Reds supporter @Kloppholic on Twitter got people talking with an assessment of some players at those clubs.
@Kloppholic put out a tweet saying that a combination of Alisson in goals, Virgil van Dijk and Kalidou Koulibaly at centre-back and Fabinho in defensive midfield “genuinely wouldn’t concede a goal“.

Van Dijk’s misplaced pass led to Napoli’s second goal in stoppage time but prior to that he had made eight clearances and won three aerial duels, as per WhoScored.com.
Napoli defender Koulibaly won two tackles, made two interceptions and recorded five clearances in his team’s 2-0 victory last night, with former Liverpool defender Phil Babb telling Sky Sports‘ The Debate that his performance was “a masterclass“.
Despite the 28-year-old‘s excellent display for the Serie A side, these Liverpool fans on Twitter feel that Reds centre-back Joel Matip is an even better defender:
We have Matip. Koulibaly is overrated..

I’m happy with what we have man. Matip has been astonishing. Why change him if he has flawless until now.
