Liverpool: Fans rage as Reds are concerned about Jadon Sancho, amid interest from Man United

Liverpool are on course to win the Premier League for the first time in over thirty years.

The Reds will know bragging rights aren’t the only reward that will be on the table, as they will be picking up a bigger slice of the financial pie than ever before.

Whoever ends up being crowned champions at the end of the season stands to win somewhere in the region of £150m.

Jurgen Klopp’s side are currently 20 points clear of Manchester City at the top of the table with a seemingly unassailable lead.

Liverpool have been linked to a number of Europe’s biggest stars, including the likes of Timo Werner and Thiago Alcantara, but no transfers have been made at the time of writing.

Klopp will need to strengthen his squad if he wants to build on the club’s success in the future.

Who should Liverpool buy this summer?

Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane have formed a formidable front three over the past few years, but the Reds dropped to a disappointing draw in the Merseyside derby when Takumi Minamino stepped in for Salah.

Now, Liverpool are interested in signing Jadon Sancho, who has told Borussia Dortmund he wants to return to England (ESPN).

However, the Reds are concerned by both Dortmund’s £100m valuation and his disciplinary issues off-field, amid interest from Manchester United.

As the board refused to commit to roughly £100m in transfer fees and wages for Werner, some may have reservations that Liverpool will miss out on Sancho in the summer.

Loads of LFC fans raged at the “rubbish” transfer update, with one fan tweeting the club are making “more excuses,” while another added there is “no chance” of a deal being sorted. It is perhaps unsurprising that they are upset, given Sancho has been incredible this season, netting 17 goals and providing 17 assists in the Bundesliga.
