Lots of Liverpool fans were impressed by Red Bull Leipzig on Wednesday, as fans took to Twitter to highlight the ‘incredible‘ quality of Julian Nagelsmann.
You won’t find a 32 year-old manager anywhere in world football with a better CV than Nagelsmann, as the young Leipzig boss won his first ever Champions League knockout match on Wednesday against Tottenham courtesy of Timo Werner’s second half penalty.
Having secured Champions League football with limited resources at Hoffenheim, his summer 2019 move to Leipzig brought bigger expectations with larger resources, but so far he is making it look easy as his side sit just one point behind Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga and now look well poised to reach the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
Of course, the last exciting new manager on the block to upset Bayern’s domestic dominance was one Jurgen Klopp, leading plenty of Reds fans to ponder if Nagelsmann could eventually replaced their charismatic leader. Check out some of the best Twitter reactions down below…

He’s brilliant. Plays very entertaining football and is a great tactician. Improved Hoffenheim massively when he was there too. Such a great manager for someone who’s still very young. Would love to see him be Jurgens successor when he’s ready to leave.

It just feels like Julian Nagelsmann is Jurgen Klopp’s protégée for some reason. Julian openly respectful of Jurgen and has said how important it is to learn from watching Liverpool play. Really admire Julian’s evolution so far. Only 32. Incredible.
