Liverpool: Fans react as Timo Werner’s Twitter activity hints at transfer

Loads of Liverpool fans have been reacting to some social media news, as Timo Werner has seemingly unfollowed Red Bull Leipzig on Twitter, leading some fans to speculate over his next move.

The Werner to Liverpool links are almost unbearable at this point, with the Germany international constantly flirting with a switch to Anfield while The Athletic’s James Pearce even said last week he would be surprised if the striker does not join the Reds.

Werner reportedly has a release clause of £51m if activated before April, and with the Africa Cup of Nations moved to January 2021 there is no question Jurgen Klopp will need some attacking reinforcements next season. If all that wasn’t enough fuel for the fire, Werner has added some more of his own, exciting fans on Twitter by unfollowing RB Leipzig on his official account, per The Liverpool Echo.

Needless to say, the reaction on the social media site has been overwhelming with fans going a little bit crazy on Twitter, even saying ‘Welcome to Liverpool’…
