Gini Wijnaldum has teased Liverpool fans with his latest Twitter update.

The Dutchman has sent the fanbase into a flurry of emotions following a recent tweet involving a snap of him during training with a knowing grin on his face. In the photo, Jordan Henderson, Andy Robertson and Trent Alexander-Arnold all look elated.

Wijnaldum, who has scored 19 goals for Liverpool, partnered the post with the cryptic message ‘caption this’ and the majority of the fanbase think it could be a hint towards a new deal with the club.

As it stands, the 29-year-old is currently in the last year of his contract and could be leaving the club this window. Heavy interest from former Netherlands manager Ronald Koeman could sway him way from Anfield.

However, James Pearce reported that Jurgen Klopp and Wijnaldum had recently had more talks about his future.

Loads of Liverpool fans are speculating over whether the £36million-valued midfielder is in fact foreshadowing a new contract. One supporter has tweeted ‘you know exactly what you’re doing’, whilst others urge him to announce he will be staying with the Reds.
