Liverpool fans have rubbished reports that midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum could leave the club at the end of the season, according to The Athletic.

The 29-year-old is entering the final 18 months on his contract, which is due to expire in June 2021, as per TransferMarkt.
Manager Jurgen Klopp has renewed several first-team players’ deals, with the Holland international one of a few whose future remains uncertain.
The former Newcastle United man will be available to leave the club for free at the end of his deal if his contract situation is not rectified, and The Athletic revealed that he has strong admirers in both Italy and Spain.
In a similar situation, the German tactician convinced James Milner to remain on Merseyside, as well as extending his own contract until the end of the 2023/24 season.
