Liverpool’s 2-2 draw against Shrewsbury will annoy Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool fans no end considering that means they’ve now added another fixture to their busy schedule. The underdogs equalised with five minutes to go to set up the FA Cup replay, and fans were fuming at Dejan Lovren for his role in the goal.
The Croatian, 30, was the last man back when he came out to sweep a bouncing ball that was nodded on from a goal kick. He managed to miss the ball and that set substitute Jason Cummings through on goal to slot home, so it’s fair to say he made a complete mess of it.
Liverpool’s official Twitter account posted the news that the opposition had equalised simply saying “Goal. @shrewsweb are level” and fans were quick to criticise Lovren. Many of them replied to say how he’s not good enough to play for the club.
