Liverpool: Fans stunned by footage of transfer target Timo Werner’s counter-attacking prowess

Loads of Liverpool fans have been drooling over some footage of reported transfer target Timo Werner, after the Germany international was heavily linked with a switch to Anfield this week.

Werner is enjoying a stunning season at Red Bull Leipzig, but reports on Monday suggested his time at the Red Bull Arena could soon come to an end. According to Bild, via Sport Witness, the 23 year-old’s ‘preferred goal’ is to join the Premier League and specifically Liverpool, and he has an exit clause of €60m (£51m).

Multiple journalists added fuel to the fire as well, as Goal’s Bundesliga writer Ronan Murphy commented on the links while former footballer turned journalist Jan Aage Fjortoft said he can see the move happening, while also adding that Werner would ‘love’ to play for Jurgen Klopp and that it could be the ‘signing of the summer’.
