Many Liverpool fans have pleaded with the club to sell Joel Matip in the next transfer window.
The injury-prone 29-year-old missed Wednesday night’s 2-1 win against Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League after picking up a back injury against Fulham last weekend.

Matip has had a prolonged period of fitness setbacks, missing a total of 61 games since his free transfer from Bundesliga outfit Schalke in 2016.
From 119 appearances for Liverpool, the Cameroonian centre back has scored six times and provided one assist, and adds to the list of his team’s evergrowing injury crisis (TransferMarkt).

As a result, supporters were not impressed and made their case to the club to offload him when the transfer window opens its doors next month.
Fans want Matip to leave
I love Joel Matip and he’s one of the best CBs in the league when he’s fit.
That’s all irrelevant though when he’s incapable of playing more than 2 games in a row.

It was suicide going in to the season with only 1 senior CB, I say one because Matip and Gomez and so injury prone and not reliable at all. It would be unthinkable not to get another CB in January, we will be so stubborn and not get one. #LFC
