Liverpool: Fans want the Reds to sign Heung-min Son

Many Liverpool fans have called for the Reds to sign South Korea winger Heung-min Son, with some alluding to footage from the end of his country’s game against Brazil on Tuesday.

Son has scored eight goals in 15 games so far this season for Tottenham, who in the last 24 hours have sacked Mauricio Pochettino and replaced him with Jose Mourinho.

The South Korean has posted an impressive goal return despite his club’s struggles, with Spurs 14th in the Premier League and winless in their last five league matches, a run which includes a 2-1 defeat to Liverpool at Anfield.

Son’s return of eight goals from 1,063 minutes this season works out at one goal every 132.88 minutes, not far behind Liverpool winger Sadio Mane’s 11 goals in 1,357 minutes (one per 123.36 minutes) and better than Mohamed Salah’s nine in 1,1516 minutes (one per 168.44 minutes).

These Reds fans on Twitter have called on the club to raid Tottenham for the 27-year-old in January:
