Liverpool: Fans want to sign Adama Traore after stunning display vs Manchester City

Lots of Liverpool fans want to sign Wolves star Adama Traore, after the winger terrorised Manchester City on Friday evening.

The Reds can sit back and enjoy Saturday’s action in the Premier League after the first round of Christmas fixtures, as they furthered their gap to both Manchester City and Leicester.

Jurgen Klopp’s side of course were fantastic at the King Power Stadium on Boxing Day, but the champions’ defeat at Molineux was perhaps the most memorable match of the week, as they collapsed in the closing stages against Nuno Espírito Santo’s side.

The key to that collapse was of course Traore, who got Wolves back in the game with a stunning low strike to cut the deficit in half, before setting up the equalising goal with a little help from Benjamin Mendy.

Klopp has a reputation for turning electric wide men into prolific goalscorers, namely Marco Reus, Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane, and fans are begging him to do the same with Traore.

Valued at £25.2m (Transfermarkt) and just 23 years of age, Wolves wouldn’t let him go cheap, but here’s what the Anfield faithful have to say…

I’ve liked him since last season. He seems more dynamic coming off the bench tbh. Might be because he has more speed than most that it’s such a drastic change. He’s an absolute specimen though.
