A number of Liverpool fans believe that Georginio Wijnaldum should be sold amid reports that he may be seeking a new challenge elsewhere.
The Independent‘s Melissa Reddy reported that the 29-year-old has not dismissed taking on a different challenge away from Anfield and could be open to a change of scenery, particularly with his former international manager Ronald Koeman having just been appointed as Barcelona head coach.

The report added that it would “not be a far-fetched scenario” for the Dutch midfielder to sign a pre-contract with the La Liga club, or another potential suitor, particularly with speculation continuing as to the possible arrival of Thiago Alcantara at Anfield.
Wijnaldum, who has scored 19 goals in 186 games during four years at Liverpool, is entering the final year of his contract and, as per Fabrizo Romano, the club have so far been unable to agree a new deal for him.

Some Reds fans feel that the time is right to cash in, with one Kopite eager to avoid another “Emre Can situation”, in reference to the German midfielder who declined to sign an extension and let his contract run down before leaving for Juventus on a free transfer in 2018.

Regardless of your opinion on Wijnaldum, I don’t see why you’d be unhappy with this.
He wants a new challenge and one big contract, and we get to bring in Thiago as a replacement.
