Liverpool: Fans keen to see Naby Keita feature against Sheffield United

Many Liverpool fans urged for manager Jurgen Klopp to start midfielder Naby Keita against Sheffield United on Sunday.

The 26-year-old made his return to the first-team during their 2-0 defeat to arch-rivals Everton – their fourth home defeat in succession.

Keita, who earns £120k-per-week at Anfield, has consistently struggled to maintain his fitness since his £48m move from RB Leipzig in 2018.

Most recently, the Guinea international suffered an ankle injury just before Christmas and has missed the last 14 games as Liverpool’s title challenge has slowly slipped away.

Because of this, supporters believe that there is “nothing to lose” by starting Keita and could be a huge opportunity for him to lead the Reds’ charge back up the Premier League table.
