Liverpool fans reacted in their droves to the news of who will be taking charge of their Premier League trip to face Sheffield United at Bramall Lane this weekend.
The Premier League made the announcement that Jon Moss would be taking charge of Sunday’s crunch clash for the Reds, with Marc Perry and Dan Robathan taking the assistant duties. Lee Mason will be the fourth official and Andy Madley will be in charge of VAR.
Jurgen Klopp’s side are going through a woeful period after losing four-straight games and scoring just once from open play during that period.
This has left the Reds five points adrift of the top four places with the likes of Chelsea and West Ham United above them. Liverpool are currently 19 points behind leaders Manchester City (via BBC Sport).
Will Liverpool get back to winning ways vs Sheffield United?
With this in mind, supporters ridiculed the appointment with the Reds having had more negative VAR decisions this season than any other side.
Moss appointment didn’t impress these fans
“Given up on league football, it’s rigged.”
“Horrendous referee !!!”
“So 100 bucks on a Sheffield penalty”
“God help us”
“Penalty to Sheffield United. Just practising”
“Another loss incoming”
