Many Liverpool fans are reacting to the club’s injury update on Trent Alexander-Arnold. The Englishman limped off midway through the second half against Manchester City on Sunday.
The Reds tweeted out the news that they are waiting to find out the true extent of the suspected calf injury, while Paul Joyce of The Times has since claimed it could leave the no. 66 sidelined for up to four weeks.
The news just seems to be getting worse and worse for the Reds. Alexander-Arnold is now another important player on a casualty list which already includes Virgil Van Dijk, Thiago, and Fabinho.
Klopp will certainly be thankful that there is an international break as he is now missing several of the first names on his team sheet. The two-week break should mean Alexander-Arnold only misses a couple of key fixtures, as the manager will now have to turn to either James Milner or youngster Neco Williams in the meantime.
The fact that the right-back walked off against City will be a positive sign for his recovery going forward, but that didn’t stop fans worrying in reaction to the Reds’ update on his fitness.
