The Reds captain has enjoyed a memorable career at Anfield, now spending 10 years at the club. After overcoming a tough start to life on Merseyside, Henderson has grown into both a phenomenal skipper and top-class footballer, winning both the Champions League and Premier League.

The 31-year-old's current Liverpool deal expires in the summer of 2023, but there has been some hope that he will extend his stay beyond that date.

A fresh report has emerged, however, with The Athletic's James Pearce and David Ornstein claiming that there is genuine uncertainty over Henderson's long-term future. No progress is thought to have been made over a new deal despite talks going on for a long time, suggesting that the midfielder might not finish his career at Anfield.
