Many Liverpool supporters have let their feelings known about news that the Reds had the chance to land Patson Daka before he joined Leicester City.
Jurgen Klopp only brought in RB Leipzig defender Ibrahima Konate in the summer transfer window, despite seeing some significant depth in the shape of Gini Wijnaldum, Xherdan Shaqiri and Harry Wilson leave the club.
The loss of Shaqiri means the Reds only have Mohamad Salad, Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane, Divock Origi and Diogo Jota as options for Klopp to use in the front three and there isn't really any plan B on the bench.
According to Fabrizio Romano [via Anfield Watch on Twitter], Liverpool could have signed Daka from RB Salzburg this summer before he moved to Brendan Rodgers' side.
Speaking on his 'Here we go' podcast, Romano said: "If they had sold Shaqiri or Divock Origi in the first days of June, then they had the chance to sign Patson Daka."
The Zambian international scored 68 goals in 125 appearances for Salzburg before moving to the Foxes for £27million.
