Lots of Liverpool fans have been salivating over the thought of their club signing Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland.
The reaction has come after quotes from Christoph Freund, the Sporting Director of Austrian club RB Salzburg, the Bundesliga star’s former side, who believes that he will eventually “land” in Merseyside (relayed by Welt).
Haaland took Europe by storm after he scored a sensational hat-trick against Genk during last season’s Champions League campaign, describing the moment as the “craziest thing” he’s done in his career (via Goal).

The Norway international went on to score against Jurgen Klopp’s side at Anfield during Salzburg’s 4-3 defeat to the reigning European champions and then went on to join Dortmund for £17m.

Since then, Haaland has gone on to score 24 goals in 27 appearances (TransferMarkt) and has been labelled as the best striker in the world by Italian football legend Christian Vieri (via Goal).
With this in mind, supporters were overcome with excitement with the comments from Freund, making their feelings clear that they would love to see him in a Liverpool future one day.
