The Premier League champions are already putting plans together on how to retain their crown next season.
According to the Daily Mail (relayed via @AnfieldEdition), Liverpool are plotting a move for Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly in the upcoming days. Jurgen Klopp is reportedly already looking at how he can bolster his squad and push for another Premier League title run.
Should Liverpool sign Kalidou Koulibaly?
The report claims that the manager is still on the hunt for a centre-back to partner with Virgil van Dijk, despite Joe Gomez having a solid season across the back-line. Napoli are demanding of a fee of £90million for the Senegalese powerhouse, but Liverpool defender Dejan Lovren could be involved in a deal to lower Koulibaly’s price tag.
Lots of Reds fans are fully on board with bringing him to Anfield, undoubtedly keen on trying all they can to win another league title next campaign. One supporter has tweeted ‘Michael Edwards, do your thing’, whilst another thinks signing highly-rated Koulibaly would be ‘massive’.

I would back this move, outstanding player who can also play left full back effectively so would be world class back up for Gomez and Robbo, plus Lovren could leave on a high & save us money on the deal, win win imao step in Michael Edwards, do your thing

God that would be wonderful. What a statement that would be and Lovren must go. He is a nice guy but we need to improve there and let it be 2nd or 3rd option
